Rainbow Cottages Resort is located on a 118 acre expanse of private property on the Otonabee River, just north of Rice Lake. While you are a guest of Rainbow, you can do as much - or as little - as you like. Perhaps you wish to do nothing more strenuous than contemplate the seemingly magical shapes the clouds make as they leisurely travel across the blue sky. Or perhaps a brisk walk and guided tour of the worlds' largest rice lake plains tallgrass prairie restoration site is more your style. In the winter, experience dogsledding - or the comforting fire. There are many things to do at Rainbow throughout the seasons.

Experienced tour guides lead tours throughout the seasons. Topics covered include marshlands, maple syrup, woodlands, wildlife, birding, forgotten friends (insects, amphibians, reptiles), varied ecosystems, canoeing, tree and plant identification, agricultural, dogsledding. Wonderful photography opportunities - amateur and professional photographers welcome. Each tour is personally tailored to individual group interest, ability and size.

Four Season Adventures

Willow Beach Cottages, located on the North Shore of Lake Kashagawigamog, in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands is a collection of 12 upscale cottages complete with woodburning fireplaces. The resort is pet friendly from the last week in August until the end of June each year. So come on up to our place and enjoy time with your best friend! 

The property boasts a sandy beach, horseshoe pit, beach volleyball, badminton, basketball, hot tub, sauna, rec hall with ping pong and billiards, and there are cross country ski trails adjacent to the property. Click on the name of the resort above to be directed to our website for more information. Many packages available to meet the needs of anyone whether it is for family fun, a romantic getaway or some outdoor adventure!

Blue Moon Retreat

Four Season Adventures

A unique four season resort on peaceful Purdy Lake between Bancroft and Barry's Bay. Our country getaway is located on a former sugar bush and has over 1,500 feet of lake frontage. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Purdy Lake, the Wellness Spa with its 8 person hot tub and sauna, star gazing, bird watching, and sing songs around your own outdoor fire.

The cottages/houses accommodate from 2 - 10 guests and are completely equipped with standard appliances color TV, VCR, and are decorated as a country getaway (you’ll love the duvets). The largest units have dishwashers, satellite TV, and a washer and dryer. For those fortunate enough to stay in Shangri La, the cathedral ceilings, large fieldstone fireplace and personal hot tub will bring hours of enjoyment. While those in the Chalet will no doubt enjoy the Jacuzzi tub and 52’’ color TV.

Algonquin Park that is only about 60 km away has many beautiful wilderness areas, a logging museum, a visitors center, conducted walks, public wolf howls, and much more. Closer by you can take guided ecology walks, forest tours, hiking, white water rafting, boat tours, rockhounding, and more. Winter activities at Blue Moon include cross country skiing and snowmobiling (provincial trail system) with alpine skiing, dogsledding, and snowboarding nearby.
