Timberlane Rustic Lodges is located on Lake Manitou, Manitoulin Island's largest lake, with miles of undeveloped and scenic shoreline. The lake is spring fed, crystal clear, and abounds with sport fish. The primary species are lake trout, smallmouth bass, jumbo perch and northern pike. Trips to other lakes for walleye and charters to Lake Huron for chinook salmon and rainbow trout fishing can all be arranged. All fish cleaning and packaging is included. Enjoy fishing or lake cruising with our fleet of first-class boats, all fully equipped with seats and electric start motors, or take the whole family out in one of our large pontoon boats with sun roofs and swimming ladders.

Looking to get away from the crowds? Timberlane Rustic Lodges is a full-service "Cabin Guests Only" resort where you'll enjoy a safe, cozy and friendly atmosphere. Our 2, 3 and 4 bedroom cabins all have their own rustic charms. Generous home-cooked breakfasts and dinners are served at your own private table in our original family farm house built in the early 1900's. Bring along a bottle of wine for dinner! Dress is as casual as you want it to be.

Enjoy nature walks through our own 200 acres of woods and meadows where it's not uncommon to see whitetail deer feeding. Your day ends in front of a roaring wood fire on our waterfront as you watch the sun go down.

The Island Lodge

Activities:Fishing, Wildlife & Nature, Swimming, Hiking

A Great Holiday Destination for...the fisherman, the couple, the family who want to fish or who want a relaxed vacation and great food, the naturalist, the geologist/rock hound, the artist. The island itself is a treasury for geologists and rock hounds. Endless wildflowers and wildlife abound on the island. A walk through the woods can be fascinating for any naturalist.

Some of our best fish are caught from the shores of the island. Ardent anglers find excellent fishing for bass, northern pike, muskie, perch and pan fish in the protected waters among the many islands. A trip to the main land offers fishing for speckled and brown trout.

The lodge and cabins have been renovated recently and are spread over 50 acres to offer some of the best scenery in Ontario. Accommodations range from couples, to groups of ten or more. Everything we serve is homemade, from the steaming loaf of fresh bread that starts off your dinner, to the of tasty desserts at the end. Once a week dinner is outdoors with fish caught in our own waters.
