Welcome to our little haven on the south shore of Lake Nipissing. Our specialty is fishing. Lake Nipissing is known as the yellow pickerel lake of the world. It also produces trophy muskies and northerns. Spring, fall, or winter fishing is the best in the area and we can help you find whatever catch you’re hoping for. Be it perch, walleye, or muskie, the south shore is sure to please. Our cottages are top-of-the-line, deluxe accommodations. Our lakefront sandy beach is always a favorite with our visitors who wish just to relax and enjoy the sunshine, sunrises, or beautiful sunsets. We have a large serviced trailer park for seasonal or transient us. For the winter sportsmen, we offer equipped, heated ice huts with complimentary transportation as well as quick and easy access to the many snowmobile trails in the area. Promised Land Camp is located on Lake Nipissing's beautiful South Shore, the largest protected fishing area on the lake, featuring numerous islands, bays, sunken weed beds, rocky shoals, sunken islands and deep channels. Lake Nipissing is rated as one of the top ten walleye lakes in Ontario as well as one of the best pike lakes in the province and one of the best kept secrets in Northern Ontario for bass fishing. Muskie fishing is excellent and catching jumbo perch and other pan fish is great fun as well. Our secluded cottages are nestled among large pine and maple trees on a picturesque peninsula, overlooking Fish Bay. Most are located right at the waterfront, with southwestern exposure; some of them have wheelchair access. Each cottage is fully equipped with satellite TV/VCR, dishes, cooking utensils, cutlery, pots/pans, coffee pot, toaster, its own barbecue, fire pit and a free supply of firewood. Just bring your own personal towels. Here at Promised Land you will find one of the most beautiful beaches on the South Shore. Waters are shallow, warm and safe even for small kids. Enjoy the nature trails, hiking, mountain-biking, fishing, canoeing, watersports or birdwatching. Local activities include scenic cruises, horseback riding and 4 golf courses. Experience winter at Promised Land Camp! Superior ice huts with lots of space (8 x 12ft), propane furnace and Coleman cooking stove are waiting for you. Heated transportation is provided from your cozy and warm housekeeping cottage to our famous fishing spot, about 6 km out on Lake Nipissing. You won't be disappointed! |

Tama Kwa Vacationland on the south shore of Lake Nipissing. Make Tama Kwa your home away from home and enjoy the great outdoors like never before. We are located right next to prime walleye spawning grounds. There are also excellent stocks of northern pike, bass, and musky. All
of our housekeeping cottages feature not only a heavy-duty electric
stove with oven, but also barbecue, full-size microwave oven,
and automatic dishwashers. Each well-appointed cottage is meticulously
maintained, with attention paid to every detail. In addition to
colour TV with VCR and an AM-FM radio, all cottages feature an
open verandah that overlooks the lake, a picknick table, modern
four-piece bathroom, and two full-size double beds in each of

Lake Nipissing is well known as the jewel of the north and the gateway to northern Ontario. Lake Nipissing is a large lake with many islands, weed beds and shoals as well as deep spots, and is well known as a Walleye factory during the spring and fall. It's one of the best fishing lakes in Ontario and holds many large trophies that smaller lakes could not produce such as record size muskie 58" 56" that have been caught & released back into the lake. Muskie, Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Jumbo Perch & Whitefish fishing is excellent in our end of the lake. Lake Nipissing and our camp also offer many enjoyable family activities. You can jump in your boat and explore the Lake Nipissing shoreline or drive the boat into town and see the sights and many tourist attractions. Our lakeside cottages are clean and modern with all the amenities of home. We have different size cottages to accommodate groups and families of different sizes. We have a sandy beach, which is great for the kids. The swimming area has a gradual slope, which makes the beach safe for young children. For the children's entertainment we have toys, a swing set and paddle boats with life jackets provided. |
