Camp La Plage was established in 1934 and has had a long history of providing happy, memorable vacations for fishermen, hunters, groups and families. Our personalized, friendly service caters to individual needs and promises to enhance your northern Ontario experience. Hungry walleye, pike, perch and muskie and no black flies, what could be better for a spring fishing trip! Our central location on the north shore of Lake Nipissing, offers easy access to the upper French River, many islands, the west arm of the lake, Cache Bay, and the large part of the lake. Good highways make us easy to drive to or you can fly into nearby airports. Lake Nipissing and the near by French River is well known for great fishing. "This is the place for trophy bass."
Our comfortable cottages, unique lodge and well-kept boats are waiting for you on the north shore of Lake Nipissing. At the lodge we have a convenience store, tuck shop for souvenirs and tackle. Amenities include natural sand beach with swimming, kayaks, paddle boats and canoe, outdoor games, family & children's activities. Fax, courier and mail pick up services are also available. Fall duck hunting is a very popular sport at our camp for both waterfowl and small upland game. The many nearby mashes, islands and weed beds make our area one of the best duck hunting areas in N. Ontario. We are only 5 minutes by boat from Cache Bay, which is a large wetland area and is on route for migratory birds. You will find mallards, blue bills, wood ducks, teals, red heads, ring necks and geese. |

and novices will find an abundance of walleye, pike, bass,
and trophy muskie.

Tavern Resort is located on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing
and offers great fishing and family adventures. Fish and
explore the scenci shoreline, islands, and bays. The fishing
features walleye (pickerel), northern pike, muskie, small
mouth bass, and perch.
Accommodations
available: lodge rooms, housekeeping cottages and serviced
trailer sites.
The main lodge rooms and our 5 modern fully equipped cabins
with TVs, microwave ovens and coffee makers are well spaced
to afford a certain amount of privacy. Each cottage has
its own gas barbeque and picnic table. The kids will enjoy
the sandy beach, beautiful sunsets, and the local wildlife.
We provide meal services ranging from housekeeping to
an occasional meal or full American Plan.
Winter
activities include snowmobiling and ice fishing. We are
located adjacent to the main trail system offering acccess
to hundreds of miles of groomed trails. |
