Makokibatan Lodge is a four-star, deluxe All-Inclusive American Plan fishing lodge. An 80-mile float plane ride is what separates you from the rest of civilization to the south. Taking off and landing on water is an unforgettable experience that completes a perfect Canadian wilderness adventure. Makokibatan Lodge offers some of Northern Ontario's best walleye and northern pike fishing. Not only can you expect to catch large quantities of walleye, you'll be amazed at the number of trophy size walleye and monster pike that this lake harbors. A highlight to a fishing vacation at Makokibatan Lodge is a guided trip on the Albany River itself. A full day spent traveling through some of Canada's most spectacular scenery, running exciting rapids and catching plenty of fish.

It's a fishing vacation you'll remember for a lifetime for the service and hospitality and the delicious daily shore lunches with freshly caught walleye. Our chef provides our guests with hearty and delicious home cooked meals served in our spacious dining room overlooking the lake. First class all the way! You'll enjoy the lake scenery, and sunsets, from the large front deck overlooking beautiful Makokibatan Lake. Spend the evening playing cards in the lodge, or shopping in the tuck and tackle shop.

Our six "four star" log cottages are fully equipped to meet your every need. Each has three bedrooms with two single beds, cozy wool blankets, large dressers, bedside lamps, and a three-piece washroom complete with shower. As well, the cottages have large living rooms to enjoy the waterfront views, large tables for card playing, cozy wood heater with thermostatic control, and the small refrigerator. It's luxury living in a remote wilderness setting. Each party will have their own private cabin. We are the only lodge on the lake.

From Leuenberger's Air Base in Nakina, you will be flown directly into the lodge on float equipped DeHavilland Beaver or Otter.

Air Ivanhoe & Ivanhoe River Inn

Air Ivanhoe and The Ivanhoe River Inn offer the best in Fly-In fishing on remote Northern Ontario Lakes for Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch, and Trout. We are located 7 miles west of Foleyet and approximately 40 miles east of Chapleau on Hwy. 101. The Ivanhoe River Inn located on Ivanhoe Lake is a full service Lodge and one of Ontario's largest verticle log fishing lodges. For your use we have purchased a one ton four wheel drive four door truck equipped with two 14 ft aluminum boats and motors for accessing numerous drive-in lakes in the immediate area. Fishing is for lake trout, brook trout, walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass. Boat -In fishing trips are also available on the Ivanhoe River for great family vacations! Accommodations are housekeeping cottages, suites and VIP suites that accommodate from 2-4 up to 12 people. All units are equipped for light housekeeping with thermostatically controlled electric heat, full size refrigerator, stove, lights, all dishes, cookware, silverware, towels, pillows, mattresses, sheets, and blankets. Dish soap, hand and body soap supplied. We also offer a color television in each suite. Boat docking facilities available at no additional charge.

American Plan rates include Suite, three excellent homecooked meals daily, S-14 Lund boat with 15 H.P. Yamaha motor and all mixed fuel for each 2 adults. The boats are equipped with paddles, anchors, flotation cushions, swivel padded boat seats, landing net, and minnow bucket. For your comfort we offer daily maid service, daily boat cleaning and refueling, fish freezing. An ample supply of live bait included in this package.

Departing from our seaplane base on Ivanhoe Lake you can choose from our fly-inn and boat-inn vacations at 22 different outposts on the rivers and lakes in our area. All are situated in beautiful private settings, in fact at many of our cabins and camps you are the only party on the lake. Enjoy fine catches of walleye, northern, jumbo perch, and white fish. Some lake have been catch and release fishing for 15 years. If you want isolation, we will fly you out to one of these choice sites. You will be flying in the aircraft of choice for safety and reliability.
