For safe Bear, Moose, and White Tail Deer Hunting - Refer to the "Ontario - Ministry of Natural Resources" current hunting regulations.

Moose, Black Bear, and White Tail Deer season means that most hunters are getting their gear and hunting equipment ready. Group hunting is popular, but some hunters still prefer to go solo. Always tell someone where you plan to hunt and how long you expect to be.

Wear "Hunter Orange" during the open season for deer and moose, and for the fall black bear season. Protect against hypothermia and frostbite. Dress for mainly cool, damp conditions, but with flexibility and layering for weather fluctuations. Wear a PFD while on the water, avoid unnecessary actions, and never stand up in a boat.

Essential items: first aid kit, compass, map of the region, and survival kit.

Handle firearms with care and treat every gun as if it were loaded and ready to fire. Be absolutely sure of your target and what is beyond it.
